A History Of Success In Salt Lake City

Barney Gesas is a Wolverine as an Attorney and gets the job done right! I worked with Barney as an Expert Witness on a real estate law-suit representing a retail tenant against a large national Landlord. The law-suit went on for almost 3 years. Barney was an expert attorney that was thorough, responsive, and persistent. I would recommend him for any sticky or tough law problem. He is seasoned and excellent!

Barney Gesas has represented our Salt Lake City headquartered high end residential and historic buildings restorations throughout the Inter-Mountain West and California. He has also represented my family. His legal representation has covered a wide scope of complex multi-million dollar construction contract disputes, building inspection enforcement constitutional challenges and personal defamation.

He is always prepared, presents the factual and legal issues in a logical, plain and compelling manner.  Fortunately, we have never been on the losing end of the several matters he has undertaken for us for almost two decades. He has thoughtfully navigated and saved our company several millions of dollars at issue, including attorneys fees, costs and loss of critical time essential in the competitive and niche construction market we serve.

Recently, he achieved a precedent setting result before the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL). This matter involved overreaching building inspection enforcement at the construction site. It’s unconstitutional implications caused DOPL to overhaul its building inspection rules, regulations and practices engaged in by the most respected custom design build contractors in Utah and the surrounding states. Since I have known and retained Barney, I have become familiar that he is considered by many  in the Salt Lake City legal community as a “Lawyer’s Lawyer”.
